The latest figures from the Home Builders and Contractors of Brevard indicates a slow period for construction permits for the month of April.The number of housing permits issued were 201. Out of that number, 171 were for single family homes.

During the first four months of the year there were 898 permits issued, a decrease of 61% from the previous year.
